Content Monitor Policy
Effective date: 1 January 2026
How SwitCity monitors, reviews, and enforces content standards on the platform.
1. Overview
SwitCity operates as a platform for adult creators and their fans. We support a wide range of content categories including explicit adult content within the designated NSFW section. With this comes a firm responsibility to prevent illegal, harmful, and non-consensual content from appearing on our platform. This policy explains how we fulfil that responsibility.
2. Permitted Content
SwitCity permits content across all creator categories including, but not limited to: music, fitness, education, comedy, gaming, photography, lifestyle, and adult/NSFW content. All permitted content must:
- Feature only consenting adults (18+)
- Comply with applicable laws in Nigeria and the creator's jurisdiction
- Not constitute harassment, defamation, or incitement to violence
- Be uploaded by the creator who owns or has rights to the content
3. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and account termination:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any sexual content involving minors. Zero-tolerance policy - all cases are reported to law enforcement immediately.
- Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII): Sharing explicit images or videos of real people without their consent ("revenge porn").
- Violent Extremism: Content that promotes, glorifies, or incites terrorism, genocide, or mass violence.
- Human Trafficking: Content that facilitates or promotes human trafficking or exploitation.
- Content Involving Animals: Zoophilic content of any kind.
- Fraudulent Content: Deepfakes, impersonation of public figures, or materially misleading content intended to defraud users.
- Doxxing: Publishing private personal information about another individual without consent.
4. Automated Scanning
All media uploaded to SwitCity - photos and videos - is automatically scanned using Google Cloud Vision API before publication. This scanning detects:
- CSAM and child exploitation imagery (via PhotoDNA hashing and AI detection)
- Known illegal content matching law enforcement databases
- Explicit content uploaded outside permitted categories
Content flagged by automated scanning is blocked from publication and queued for human review.
5. Human Review
Our moderation team reviews:
- Content flagged by automated scanning
- Content reported by users through in-app reporting tools
- Creator accounts flagged for unusual activity patterns
Human reviewers assess context, review supporting information, and make final enforcement decisions. Reviewers are trained on relevant laws, platform policies, and trauma-informed moderation practices.
6. Age Verification
All users must confirm they are 18+ during registration. Access to adult content categories requires an additional age verification gate. Creators uploading NSFW content must have completed KYC verification, which includes government-issued ID validation confirming the creator is 18 or older.
7. Creator Moderation Tools
Creators have access to tools to maintain the quality of their own community:
- Block fans from accessing their profile and content
- Set keyword filters to automatically hide or delete comments containing specified words
- Delete individual comments
- Pin comments to surface community-positive interactions
8. Enforcement: Two-Strike Policy
For violations that are not zero-tolerance offences, SwitCity applies a two-strike enforcement policy:
- Strike 1: Content removed, formal written warning issued to the account. The account remains active.
- Strike 2: Permanent account ban. No refunds on any outstanding subscriptions or purchases. The account cannot be reinstated.
Zero-tolerance offences (CSAM, NCII, violent extremism, human trafficking) result in immediate permanent ban and referral to law enforcement without warning.
9. Reporting
To report content that violates this policy, use the in-app report feature on any post or profile, or contact our moderation team directly at hello@switcity.com. For urgent matters involving illegal content, please indicate "URGENT" in your subject line.
